1. ADVANCE - PROFESSIONAL CHOREOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP - SIUDY GARRIDO / BATA DE COLA
This choreography will begin development prior to the start of Creative Week and will be divided into two blocks: one focused on bata de cola technique and another dedicated to the creation of the choreographic piece that will premiere on June 20 during the Creative Week event.
Classes will take place on the following dates:
• Bata de Cola Technique Block: May 2 / 9 / 16 / 30 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (2 hours per session, total 8 hours)
• Choreography Block: Saturday June 13 / Sunday June 14 / Saturday June 20 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (2 hours per session, total 6 hours)

Description: This choreographic workshop, led by renowned choreographer Siudy Garrido, is designed for advanced and professional flamenco dancers who wish to explore the choreographic range of the bata de cola as an extension of the body. Across 2-hour sessions totaling 14 hours, participants will work with flamenco vocabulary while transcending traditional form and incorporating theatricality and the choreographer's unique conceptual vision. This workshop prioritizes the creative process over performance perfection, encouraging dancers to explore movement and interpretation as expressive language.
The final result of this artistic exploration will be presented to the public on June 20 at the Carnival Studio Theater of the Adrienne Arsht Center during the event "The Creative Process."
2. ADVANCE - PROFESIONAL CHOREOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP - JOSE MANUEL ALVAREZ (5-day workshop)

Description: This choreographic workshop, led by renowned bailaor José Manuel Álvarez, is designed for professional and advanced-level flamenco dancers. Over the course of three hours per day for a total of 15 hours, participants will explore the human body as a medium for conceptual expression. The training will be rooted in flamenco while breaking away from traditional structures, embracing the freedom of movement. This workshop is 100% focused on the creative process, prioritizing artistic exploration over immediate results. The final result of this exploration will be shared with the audience on June 20 at the Carnival Theater Studio of the Adrienne Arsht Center during the event "The Creative Process."
3. BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO WORKSHOP - SIUDY GARRIDO (5-day workshop)
Monday 15 to Friday 19 | 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Description: This 7.5-hour intensive workshop is designed for flamenco dance enthusiasts with 3 to 5 years of prior experience. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn a choreography specially created for their level, fully immersing themselves in the creative process. The piece will incorporate a scenic element or prop selected by the choreographer, which will be determined at the start of the process.
The final objective is to present the choreography on June 21 at the Peacock Studio of the Adrienne Arsht Center as part of the event "The Creative Process."
4. BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO WORKSHOP - JOSE MANUEL ALVAREZ (5-day workshop)

5. ADVANCE - PROFESIONAL"BODY IN MOTION: DANCE FOR VIDEO" – New Workshop with JOSE MANUEL ALVAREZ (5-day workshop)

Description: Designed for professional and advanced dancers, this workshop transforms the choreographic material explored during the morning choreographic workshop, inviting each performer to make it their own. Participants will experiment with adapting movement to urban landscapes, creating solo pieces for social media or crafting them as video art. Embracing improvisation and creative exploration, the workshop encourages dancers to discover new languages of expression and fresh ways to connect with space, the camera, and their own artistic voice—beyond the traditional stage.
The final works will be shared throughout the Creative Process week on the official @siudyflamenco social media channels, and a special edition will be presented at the closing event on June 20 at the Carnival Studio Theater of the Adrienne Arsht Center.
