The Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company is a pioneer in expanding the traditional art form of flamenco through
innovative aesthetics that elevate this vibrant Spanish musical and dance bringing it to broader audiences.
Touring internationally, the company has performed on world-renowned stages, including Place des Arts (Montreal,
Canada), Teatro Nacional (Guatemala) and Teresa Carreno Theater (Caracas, Venezuela). They've also featured in prominent festivals such as
the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, the 62nd Bursa Arts Festival in Turkey, and Iberica Contemporanea in Mexico.
The company evolved from Siudy Garrido Flamenco Ballet, founded in caracas in 2000. Which due to the
socio-political challenges in Venezuela, the company relocated to North Miami in 2015, where it rebuilt from the ground up. Managing dancers
from abroad and nurturing local talent, Garrido successfully kept the company's body of work dynamic and relevant.
In 2015, the company made its debut collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert
Hall in Los Angeles, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and later restaged the performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 2019.
Over the years, the company established Strong community roots, becoming an Arts Partner with the Adrienne Arsht
Center. They have Since presented high-caliber productions that hove toured various cities in the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America.
The company's repertoire features multidisciplinary collaborations With visual artists, dancers, musicians,
designers, filmmakers, and composers from diverse backgrounds. Notable collaborators include Maestro José Luis de la Paz, Maestro Antonio
Canales, Dancer Juan Manuel Alvarez, George Akram, Juan Manuel Montoya "Farruquito" and Singer Argentina Lopez.
